Having some funny trouble with my graphics card

Right. I have a Samsung 4MB AIMM 133MHz AGP graphics card, which works absolutely fine for Red Alert 2. But I wanna get Generals so I bought a Nvidia GeForce2 MX 32Mb AGP card. I asked someone how to get it working and they said I had to install the drivers. So I downloaded the drivers and installed them, but then when it came to the setup it said it couldn't continue because it couldn't detect the hardware (probably the graphics card). So I take out my old card and put in the new one, but when I turn my computer on I hear a long beep and the capslock's flashing. I looked on the back of my computer and it said that the graphics weren't being read, or someting, when the capslock flashes. So how do I install drivers for a card that won't let my computer start?

I have a Pentium III 800mhz computer with 256MB of RAM, if that helps. :)

I really wanna get this sorted as there's much to do on my computer.
