I did a PC Pitstop check and it showed the following as my browser.

MSIE 6.0; FunWebProducts-MyWay

Would this have been a recent Microsoft update? Or something more sinister?

Try these... just in case.

Thanks for that. I regularly check with Spybot S & D and also have Spywareblaster. I'll double check.

I'll download Adaware to double check.

AdAware foundthe following

Vendor 180 Solutions.

Type Reg. Key.

Category Data Miner

Object HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE etc

I've deleted it and now try with Spybot.

A Great bit of software is "StartPage Guard" which is free from click here

Thanks AL D. I've downloaded StarPage Guard but won't run it yet because MSIE 6.0; FunWebProducts-MyWay still shows up on PC Pitstop.

I'd disabled restore, did a check with AdAware and Spybot S&D, enabled restore but MyWay is back.

Where is the little so and so lurking?

Thanks for that VoG™. I've printed the instructions ready to start my quest, I'll let you know how I get on.

I started going through the list when I remembered I still had jv16 Power Tools installed. I ran it and found a number of references to the programme and deleted them and also, to make sure, I did a Registry Clean and Fix.

I then reset my Web settings and run the programme AL D. recommended.

Everything appears to be back as it should.

Thanks Diodorus Siculus, AL D. and VoG™
