Hard drives

i had this pc brought back in 2001 and it messed up big time wouldnt boot up or nothing so i brought a new pc but i need some vital data from the old pc hard drive.....but it has different connection system i think the new one is SATA, wondering how i could transfer my files if at all possible or how i could connect the hard drive to my new pc

click here this is what you want and you can use your HD as an external disk for backups afterwards so that you do not lose your info. At under £12 it is a bargain.

u could also try a set of usb to ide leads works fine for me

I think click here may help you. It has both sata and ide interface. You can simply connect your old harddisk to ide or sata interface and connect the usb connect to your computer. Its easy to use.
