Hard drive static problem

My SAmsung XO5 laptop will not boot every 7/10 days--I get message "operating system not found"
However, I have discovered that I can cure the problem by removing hard drive and then replacing,so it seems to be a build-up of static that is causing the problem. The drive is only two months old and once it has booted up everything is fine.

Is static the cause and if so how can I avoid all this regular hassle?

I think you need to determie if it is the Hrd drive not found or the Opsytem on the HDD.

If HDD not seen in Bios then take it back.

Try chkdisk click here

if it shows too many errors again take it back.

Static build-up simply cannot occur once the HD is in circuit. In fact more likely to be damaged when handling away from the computer.

Several of the data and power cable conductors are connected to ground.
Once plugged in ensures no potential difference between the metal cover on the HD and any part of the rest of the computer, (which is designed to be at 0 volts).
