Hard drive partition question

High have just taken delivery of an acer ferrari 3800 notebook, and am very pleased with it. however on examining the hard drive which is 80gb i find it is formatted with two 40gb partitions and is FAT32 not NTFS, can anyone explain why this should be? I am running XPpro with SP2 installed. Would I be better to change to NTFS or just leave it alone?

Thanks...

You can convert the partitions click here

It is set to FAT32 so the purchaser has the chioce of leaving it or changing to NTFS which is easy just a few clicks and no loss of data.

NTFS to FAT32 means a reformat.

Why it is partitioned you would have to ask Acer - mine was as well, it just seems thats the way they supply their machines.
