I have a buffalo ministation external hard drive and I have on it all my music and media files. the issue is that my itunes recognises my catalogue of music as being on the G drive. plugged in today and the hard drive has decided to call itself H. I have no other drives attached, and I do not want to re load 60G of music onto iTunes!! Any help would be much apreciated. thanks

Do you have any other external device plugged in? If so remove it and retry the HDD.

Have you recently added a new drive to the PC? If so Windows will use the next available drive letter.

If nothing else is using `G` you should be able to change the drive identity in `Disk Management`.
