Hard drive failure.

My Western Digital 250 hard drive has seemingly died. Is there anything I can do to bring it back to life? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried to start the computer in safe mode. Or will it not start at all. When you say "died" do you mean it does not work at all, meaning just nothing happens. If that is the case you could first check the power connections on the back of the drive to make sure they are fastened well.
If you can get it going and can get onto the internet try for a firmware update to see if it helps you. Sorry thats all I can say.

Can BIOS see the Drive? if not then its a goner, you could try a new data cable
