Hard disk space

  bazza11 19:58 18 Jul 2007

My hard disk is showing 13.2GB free on a disk size of 37.2GB. With music taking 11GB, Documents on 2.5GB, and Windows on 3GB this still leaves 7.5 GB unaccounted for. How can I identify where it is, as my computer is very slow and I would like to delete unnecessary files? Many thanks.

Your computer uses some of the space to make things work normally, this can vary quite a lot with different machines. Running slow? have a look at your running Services, see if any one in particular is hogging the CPU. I had a slowdown very recently, it turned out to be Adobe Reader auto update service hogging 99% of the CPU - I stopped it happening and everything was back up to speed again.
