As you may or may not know, Windows 95 is 10 years old this week.

Does anyone know the exact US release date?

You mean I've got to upgrade my 486 from DOS6.22 to Win 95?

oh the good ole days, when we had win3.1 and all rushed out to buy the win95 upgrade...., that was really living on the edge.........

You are not wrong there.

I can still remember the Rev Tom Butler using his slot on 'Thought of the Day' on Today on R4 to describe his problems installing W95.

Now you know that I am really sad.

FYI, we still have at work a machine that uses 3.1! It does everything that is asked of it (which is admittedly not much!) - and it it ain't broke etc.!
