hand missing

hi can anyone help i have 4 pcs connected as a home network which is working ok anytime i have installed the network i go into windows explorer go to my documents and send a shortcut to desktop which puts a hand on the folder but now i find there is one without a hand i have tried to delete it and resend a shortcut again from explorer but i just get a plain my documents folder (the my documents i am talking about is not the default shared documents it is the the other one ) i hope someone can understand thanks Chippy

More importantly, does the shortcut open the Shared Documents folder and is it found as a network share from another computer?

If "Yes", then you can change the icon to the one with a hand, which is purely a cosmetic exercise. Right click the shortcut, select Properties and click the "Change icon" button. Scroll across until you find the one with the hand underneath and select that.
