Half Page when opening Click Here's on IE/9

  birdface 10:26 16 Nov 2010

Now there have been other threads on this problem but no real resolution.
It does not matter what you try it will still only open with half a page.
First thing I do is switch Tabs off when using I/E as I do not like them being switched on and it saves any problems.
But the only way for it to open with a full page on IE/9 is to switch tabs back on.
Has Anyone come up with another solution for this problem.

I've only got IE9 on my laptop and had to start it up and play with the settings. Like you when I right clicked and went for open in new window I got a half size window but switching tabs of and on made no difference. What I eventually did was resize the new window by grabbing its sides and expanding it until it filled the screen (not maximised). I then closed the original window and then closed the new stretched window. When I now click on open in new window I get a full screen. I haven't re-booted to see if this sticks.

Hi Woolwell I can only manage it your way when I have Tabs switched on.
Will just have to leave it that way I suppose.
Thanks for your help.

This works for IE7 and IE8 - so I guess it should work on 9 as well

1. Close all instances of Internet Explorer that are currently open, except for one.

2. Right click a link on the web page and select Open in new window.

3. Close the first instance of the browser that was originally open using the “X” in the top right-hand corner.

4. Resize the existing window by dragging the top and sides until it is full screen again.

5. Click the “X” in the top right-hand corner while holding down the Ctrl key.

The next time you open your browser, the window will once again appear full screen.

Thank you it worked first time.
When I pressed open in a new page it opened as a full page.
I then held the Ctrl button down while pressing the red X and it worked.
Just going to try a reboot and see if it still works.

Yes still working.
Thank you so much for your help I have been struggling with that for a while now.
