Did any one try making a DIY Desktop wireless card? I happened to find an Intel PROset 5100 wireless chip on one of my old MSI laptops and was really keen on trying it out on a desktop. I ordered a Half Mini PCIe to PCIe X16 card holder and was able to use the wireless chip on my Desktop.

Here is a video that shows how I did this. Its a Cool DIY project and the benefits are huge... the Laptop wireless cards have better features like built in Bluetooth and other nice features.

Spam or not it seems a pointless thing to do.
