  lesjohn 18:23 19 Oct 2004

On trying to install the avg software I keep getting the message "16 Bit Windows Subsystem" - System file not suitable for running ms-dos and ms windows applications. Has anyone got a solution please?
p.s. I have had this software installed previously

I have had support from Microsoft, but it does not help. Probably my fault as I omitted to say that I do not have the cd-rom as I downloaded the installation. Any further ideas how I can rectify this please?

Where the "click here" states

1. Insert the CD into the CD drive or DVD drive.

It means your Windows CD. This is to restore corrupt or missing Windows files.
