Graphics cards

Hi im looking to upgrade my ATI Radeon X300(128Mb SE hypermemory) to a better card, the X300 appears unable to play games like Battlefield 2 and such on low setting. Im currently looking at cards like Radeon X9600 XT 256mb, i could get one for around £30-£40, would installing on on these on my Dimension 5150 be enough to play games like Battlefield 2 and maybe New games like Crysis on medium settings with a good frame rate?
I genuinely dont know what i need for my computer. Any help is appreciated, please suggest alternate cards.
I think the Input is PCI-E.

you need to find out if the motherboard has a pci express slot for a card, also you need to know the wattage of the pc power supply as most cards need 500w or better once you know then hd4770 card or hd4850. ati is about to slash prices so wait a while.
