Graphics card question

Hi folks,

Apologies I'm a noob and need some help

Which only comes with a 350psu and I want to know if this graphics card is suitable without changing the psu or anything?

If you know of a better card please let me know, I'm not wanting to spend a fortune just want to be able to play things like fallout 3 on ok graphics. Thanks for your time.

psu ok for 8600gt as long as your motherboard has a slot for it.

This seems to be the common quoted specification

Minimum of a 350 Watt power supply.

Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 22 Amp Amps.

So check the +12V current rating - normally on the side of the PSU.

The problem with budget PSUs is that most of them don't actually come near to their specified rating. So the sad truth is that you may well need a better PSU.

A better quality PSU will pay you hands down in the long run, with less general system problems too. Something around 450Watt and £50 with a good brand name should be ideal. Lots of examples here
