Graphics Card Problem

I bought a graphics card off ebay (ATI Radeon hd 2400)

Was only looking to upgrade it, with one that that supported Pixel Shader 3, as the one in my pc was a sh*te onboard one.

I deleted my onboard one, deleted the folders etc then installed this new one.

For a start the resolution wont change, I tried to change it to 1024x786 it say's it's on it, but its actually on 800x600.

In device manager it says it's installed and working properly.

When i try to run a game it says, Unable to create direct3D device

I have download the latest Cataylist and install a few times still nothing.

was told to disable the onboard card in bios i did that then i got no picture on my monitor.

The ATI 2400 does not have a palce for a monitor, so disabling the onboard graphics card in bios was a better idea.

Surely there is something io can do. instead of buy one of those converter things for the monitor fitting

Thanks

Hi
you will have to plug yr monitor into the new grahics card in order to use it! What are the outputs on the card? is it the square shaped monitor conection and an s video for tv output?
Matt.
