Graphics card - PCI

  L_Driver 17:08 08 Feb 2009

My GeForce FX 5900 XT appears to be on the blink. Monitor self test is OK so reasonably sure card is the issue. This is in a PCI slot ( NOT PCI-E ) as this is a fairly dated PC. Can this graphics card or similar using PCI still be bought ?
Ta for any help.
PS card ( which I installed ) is about 5 yrs old.

Ta for sensible replies. As for grey george, did I not say this graphics card was installed 5 yrs ago. Where exactly did I install it IF I had no PCI AGP slot ?

pci cards do not fit in agp slots, so just because you used a pci card last time it does not mean the mother board does not have a agp slot. seeing as you did not state categorically that the mb did not have a agp slot I asked politely whether it did. The hardest part of trouble shooting a problem from a distance is establishing all the facts.
