graphics card help-please

hi I have just purchased a 32 mb navadia tnt2 agpx4 graphics card from one of the auctions but un able to install i have done every thing it says to install it ,every time i switch computer on after installing and re connecting every thing back up ,the computer fires up but the monitor stays on stand by.

I have a AMD DURON 800MHZ 256MEMORY,WINDOWS XP

CAN ANY ONE PLEASE HELP

Sounds as if the card is not seated properly or (worst case) dead. Check that it is properly installed - some AGP cards can be trick to get in all the way.

I sugggets you take it to a PC store - Maybe Maplin, they are helpful (NOT PC WORLD)- and ask them to check the card.

They will prolly charge a small fee.

You may have a dodgy card

check to see if your PC is bleeping on startup, if you get 1 or 2 bleeps followed by about 8 bleeps your graphic card is either not seated properly or is dead ( NOTE THAT THESES BEEP CODES VARY DEPENDING ON YOUR VERSION OF BIOS)
