Graphics card from Albatron - any good ?

  The_Aardvark 20:27 07 Jan 2007

I'm looking to buy an AGP 6200 graphics card - I've seen Albatron 6200 256mb cards on sale for much cheaper prices than other manufacturers (PNY, XFX, INNO3D etc).

Anyone have any experience of Albatron ? Should I steer clear as they are much cheaper ?

All advice greatfully recieved thanks

Hi, I have no actual experience of the Albatron cards, but they are based on the Nvidia chipset. My humble opinion is that for the price these cards are certainly adequate and will suit most everyday users.

If you're shopping for a 6200 card, base your purchasing decision on price vs warranty. If they all come with only 12 months warranty, buy the cheapest. Don't pay more for a card with more onboard memory, it will make so little difference.
Albatron have been around longer than some of the manufacturers you mention.
