Graphics card

Hi i was wondering if any one could give me some advice?,I have a ATI Radeon 9800 PRO 128 MB AGP card that seems to be playing up. I have tried reseating it and cleaning but it has been playing up for a wee while now.
I have noticed a new card on ebay that is 256 MB and was wondering if it would run on my Pentium 4 3.00GHz WITH 1 Gig of ram running xp.

any advice would be most helpful

As long as it's AGP and the same model there's no reason why it shouldn't work. If it's a different, more powerful card you may need to check your power supply is up to the job.

Thanks for the response,I am not sure what the output of the power supply is.
I ran belarc but could not find the info about the power supply.
The computer is a dell 4600i and is about 4 years old.

Have you tried going to the website and installing all the new sotfware and drivers? I have a 9800pro and did this and it worked fine afterwards, be aware though you have to unistall all the old ones and any ATI software first.
