Graphics Card...

  Ade_1 20:03 11 Sep 2005

Hi, i am thinking about buying a new graphics card for my PC, currently i have a nVida Geforce 2 Ti 64mb, which obviously isnt amazing. I dont want to be spending more than about £60, maybe that seems a little cheap, but i personally think i need a better card than a 64mb. My current computer is a Mesh Matrix XP 1800+TI , i have 512DDR Ram , i am supposed to be running at 1.8ghz, but that might have reduced due to time.
If anyone could offer any advice that would be great thanks!!

A gforce 6200 is a directx 9 card that should fit the bill.

Some sample prices of AGP cards £40 to £80 (sorted in order of ascending prices) click here.

Some benchmarks for comparison with the Ti 4200 click here (older article with older g'cards featured) & click here (newer article with newer g'cards featured.

If you're a Ebayer there are some good bargains to be had, & you could pick up a secondhand 9800 Pro or similar for around £60 or less. G
