I have just purchased a real fast pc

-Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 CPU, SKT 775, 2.4GHZ, 4MB
-Asus P5B-E Intel® P965 Motherboard LGA775
- Corsair 2GB (2x1024MB) PC6400 Dual Channel DDR2 (TWIN2X2048-6400C4D) XMS-2-6400 Dominator TwinX
- Seagate Barracuda 250GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM

I wish to use this computer only for games and I really do not know much about graphics card,
I know the best graphics card is BFG GeForce 8800 GTX OC2 768MB GDDR3 Dual DVI HDTV PCI-Express and is £423 online, that is flippin mad expensive,
What are the differences between a graphics card that is £400 and one that is much cheaper,
I basically have *!@: loads of cpu power and just need a bad ass graphic card for gaming, can anyone help out in choosing a really good one at a resonable price and explain me in a nutshell the differences between each of them.

You can find the 8800GTX a bit cheaper than that. Also if your not going to be using a massive monitor you could go for the cheaper 8800gts for only £200, Half the price but not as much grunt but still very good, The reviews say that the only major differance is when gaming at high resolutions and with lots of AA and AF.
