Got CDRW and CD - OK to add DVD as well

  Halmer 19:40 07 Jan 2006

My lad's PC has a CD and a CDRW.

Would it be OK to add a DVD as well or should I replace the existing CD and use the same set up and connections for the DVD?

It is Win XP.

Why would you need to drives to read CD's.
Remove the CD drive and replace with the DVD

Good point!

If you can, go for a DVD-RW drive. You never know when it could come in handy.
