My brother gave me a dvd to watch that has subtitles, and i was informed that there is a shareware program that will remove these through no short process. does anyone know anything about this? can you point me in the right direction.

If you right-click the picture,it might be possible to switch-off the subtitles in the players menu.

I use Subtitles because I am very deaf, But you have to switch them on, when you insert your DVD you have the option to switch them on or off. I hope this helps.

Didn't 'Trainspotting' have to have subtitles added because certain English-speaking nations couldn't understand the dialogue? ;-)

Great film, BTW.
