i'm new with computers and i just read this short review about google's picasa
the pictures looks great and i think to download it.
is this free software any good? is it safe to use (no spyware)?
is it realy free for ever (or just for 30 days or so)

As above,brilliant piece of free software,can even find some lost images on the harddrive on first installaltion.

Another good image viewer is FastStone click here

It is free, reliable, doesn't contain any nasties and is a good all round program.

I use Picasa and FastStone. Both are superb programs as well as being free.
I also have Photoshop which isn't free and does everything but rarely use it as Picasa and FastStone do almost all the most common things you need to do with photos and the programs being that much smaller run a lot quicker.
Download them both I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I know I was.

I use Picassa as opposed to my camera software and it's brilliant. No problems with it at all
