google tool-bar..useful or??

  p;3 09:55 03 Feb 2006

am thinking of changing to the google tool-bar as a method of stopping pop-ups etc, and a line of protection for unwanted other items on here.

folks got any comments or recommendations on its usefulness (or otherwise) to share?

Wouldnt be without it, the pop up stopper can be very usefull although a lot does tend to get through it.

I use it all the time - I especially like the pop-up stopper, & the ability to open a new window with the search results.

IE6 very useful.
Firefox IMHO not necessary.

I used to have the Google Toolbar but it suddenly disappered. I downloaded it again but when trying to install it all I get is an error message "the google toolbar cannot be installed on this computer".

Strange because it used to be installed and worked perfectly.

Very useful and not just for the pop-up blocker. click here

Ment to add that I also find the google toolbar very useful in IE but not needed in firefox as that has integrated search anyway.
