Google spellcheck

  Tony W. 08:42 03 Jul 2009

I have an ABC Spellchecker on my Google tool bar problem is it seems to know less about spelling than I do.Also it breaks up the sentences.

Does any body know how I can remove it and try another one.

Or alternatively how can I completely remove the Google toolbar.

Thank you.

Hello Technotiger

My spell checker also use to be very good but what happens now is that it will highlight a wrongly spelt word and when I click on the correct spelling it simply places the correct one next to the wrong one and so I end up with two of the same words side by side.(if that makes sense).

Your explanation does make sense - perhaps a System Restore back to before Spell-check went belly-up?

How might it be if you re-installed the Google Toolbar? I have always got on very well with my Google Spellchecker

Cymro and Technotiger.

As advised I re-installed the Google tool bar now all is OK.

I worked out the cause of the problem when I originally installed the Google tool bar I could not see the spell checker present so I downloaded another one which meant there were now two-hence the double word appearing each time I used it.

Many thanks.
