Google Chrome security

I have recently tried Google Chrome, and I have concerns about security.

I have always been told to log on to a (e.g) bank by typing in the address manually, as search engines can keep a register of where you go.

My concern is this:-

With google chrome, it places a snapshot of the web page on you screen, for easy access.

Is that compromising site security in any way?

I think you are referring to the most visited tab. For banking, etc I suggest that you use the Incognito mode. Click on the spanner and select new Incognito window. If you read that page you will see the added security benefits.

Thanks for that, I did not realise you had that there.
