Good uninstall utility?

A friend is having problems with a new printer and the problem seems to be that the old printer will not completely uninstall. Can anyone recommend a program for completely removing hardware/software?

Many thanks.

Advanced Uninstaller, I believe you can get a free trial click here
However it may be worth first reinstalling your printer and then uninstall it again using add/ remove programs.

There may also be an Uninstall facility for the software from Start>Programs>Name of Printer Manufacturer

Also you can download a full free version of Registry Mechanic click here
(You must register to get the Code) which could help clear any orphan bits left over.

Printers should be removed from the Printers and Faxes page in the start menu, not Add/remove.

Re-install the old printer as rawprawn suggests and remove in the way I suggest. It will not work by trying to remove odd scraps left behind from an unsuccessful uninstall.
