Hi, Im looking for a reasonable quality external dvd/cd drive.Any recommendations would be gratefully received. Thanks very much.
Any of the top brands such as Samsung, Lite-On etc. This might be of interest:click here because of the EZ-Dub feature.
Thanks for that, mate.
Erm...do they generally come with cables?
Probably only with a retail pack - the saving made buying OEM will more than cover the cost of any USB cable...:-)However, it or other models will more than likely come with a mains adapter.
You should also check what software you get with it. OEM ones have no software or cables (usually)If you dont have writing software then sometimes it is better to get a retail version.
Thanks for that.
I have Pioneer dvd drives in my computer and they are very good, they accept any brand of disk I put in them and I never get a coaster.
There are several excellent free burning programs. See, for instance:click here
Cant beat Pioneer !!
Over a number of brands, the ones I always found very reliable was LG. I have two in my system working fine for more than four years now. When I was building systems, just a few years ago, LG were the ones that gave me no returns.
