hi, i put a post up the other day about getting a decent graphics card for a gaming pc that my mate is building for me, after your recommendations i went for the one you suggested...

i was just wondering if these parts will make a decent gaming rig that can play the latest games in top quality like Age Of Conan and Crysis..

any help is appreciated, cheers

I would have thought you would have posted this in the Games Forum, not general Computer Help Forum. I think you would get a better response in there.

the rig will work with aoc, Crysis and other new games. but im unsure about the performance your get
with a PowerColor HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 Dual DVI HDTV Out PCI-E Graphics Card from the lock of it it should be able to cope with high detail but not top detail

Why buy a retail CPU then buy another HSF? You get a HSF with the retail CPU.

I would also buy a better quality PSU and if the case takes it a 120mm fan instead of a 80mm one.

and a 4850 will not play Crysis at top quality

crisis slows even top of the range cards, I would get a better psu, cheap psu's cannot produce their rated wattage under load. look for a psu with the 80% plus efficiency logo.
