A good alternative to Acrobat Reader wanted

  Chris the Ancient 10:38 01 Jan 2009

I've reloaded al my operating system over the past few days. And all was going nicely until I loaded Acrobat Reader.

Since loading it, my mouse pointer is no longer smooth moving, it jitters and some websites have slowed to a crawl. Microsoft games (of which I have the occasional play are jittery and 'sticky'. And some other programs seem less smooth as well.

All was definitely nice until Acrobat Reader, so I'm quite sure that is the program causing my discontent.

So, does anyone know of a good, stable alternative pdf reader?

And a happy New Year to you both.

Two minds and a single thought.

With two great minds coming up with the same single thought, it's got to be good!

I Revo uninstalled Acrobat, restored to a point just before it was installed and things looked back to the way I wanted. And installed Foxit. Not used it yet; but my system is back to smooooooth - so things look good.

Next time I actually need to read a .pdf, I shall see how it goes. Meanwhile, ticked as resolved.

Thanks guys.
