Going from 'wired' to 'wireless'

  Salut 19:57 20 May 2008

I use the Orange Livebox. When the box was first installed I set it up wired (my own convenience). I would now like to go wireless but, frankly, haven't a clue where to start.

I have checked the forum, but most seem to respond to failed attempts. Nor can I find anything on the Orange help files.

Any comments or advice?

I agree with MAT ALAN .... stay wired, faster and more secure - and that was before I looked at MAT ALAN's link :-))

took me a bit of time but wiring from PC to phone point is hidden under skirting, just a bit of cable sticking out at both ends.

If ya take the time its worth it...

I've gone back to wired as well. I use through-the-mains linkages for my home machines.

I would agree with the above but if you want Wireless you have to go into Setup Page of the Router and setup Wireless from one of the tabs. You need to use Internet Explorer to get to the Setup Page using the correct address may be in the address bar then press enter
