Going Back to hard wired BB

  Fatbelly 12:59 26 Oct 2010

Hi I have got a network card in my PC to get my Virgin BB.

But I have found the wireless BB slow at best and the signal constantly drops.
This is over a period of 7 months so tomorrow Virgin are coming to fit a cable from my modem directly to the PC via Ethernet cable.

Will I have to remove my network card? I am keeping my wireless modem as it feeds a PS3 and wireless laptop which are in the same room as the modem.

Will the Ethernet cable 'override' the wireless signal?

Thanks FB

If the computer is in another room you may find they will re wire from the outside box and put the modem in the room with your computer. I doubt they will supply a longer Ethernet cable.

Thanks for the advice guys,
Virgin didn't charge but they did move the modem into the room with the PC.

I am now back to a wired connection which is better. ( I hope)
