The Glories or other wise of WGA

Today whilst changing some hardware and applying some new, I have had to re-activate my windows 4 times.
After fitting a new graphics card, restarting the comp, was faced with a notice on the welcome screen informing me that the hardware had substantially changed on this computer, you have 3 days to activate windows. This happened to the three items I fitted each time I re-activated windows.
To save myself from blowing my top I completed what I was doing, which involved me uninstalling my USB card from device manager. Shutting down and going to have my tea and cool down.
Returning and restarting low and behold it's there again after only dealing with a USB card, reactivated it again for the fourth time, carried out a reboot and nothing but is this the future under windows..
Do any of the forum members know if there is an easy fix to this situation, to stop this happening with what appears to be regular monotony.
Any help would be appreciated to further prevent the lessening of my hair line.
