Gigabyte GA-K8VT800 M/board and BIOS option

ref to this Gigabyte motherboard in the manual for Frequency/voltage control there is a option for K8 CPU Clock ratio which I have left set to Defualt.

But in the options there are the Ratio settings. I am using a AMD Athlon 64 3400 (2.4GHz) CPU and I feel I should set this ratio setting to x12 2400 but the manual says:- caution! "incorrect using these features may cause your system broke. For power end users only" (I know terrible english, but that's word by word from the manual.

Ok, but I still feel I should set this to x12 2400 option can someone please advise on this.

Friend built the machine but got stuck so I am asking on behalf as he doesn't have internet access at present.

Link to the Manual is click here(Rev%202.x).htm

its just a setting in the Bios.

Set it for 12 X 200Mhz if you wish, it will not harm the chip.

This feature is for slight overclocking of the cpu. Winding up the fsb by small increments or dropping the multiplier and then winding up the fsb.

On page 10 you will notice " overclocking over voltage by bios " this is the feature.
