HI all, just done a full format and re-install of xp pro as i like to every 6 months or so. Once the system had finished and rebooted to complete, i found that i had a spare inaccesable HD icon in My Computer. I know i have two 80gb hd on the primary ide and a dvd-rw and cd-rw on the secondary which are physically installed. However xp has put an extra icon on there as f: which although doing no harm, and as we all would, i would like to get shot. Has anyone had this prob before or am i being spooked. sys spec: amd 64, 512 ddr mem, radeon 9800 graphics, optorite dvd-rw, samsung cd-rw, 2 western digital 7200rpm hd. asrock mobo

Is it in Device Manager? You could remove it from there.
