ghost problems & Acronis

I had a total crash and my hd had to be reformatted, which means that I have full back ups except for the past year when I used Norton Ghost. The images copied with Ghost are here on CD but I don't want to use Ghost again, I'd rather use Acronis True Image. Is there any way I can upload the Ghost files on my CD without Ghost installed? I downloaded Ghost 9 but found I couldn't use it - the CD I burned wouldn't install and sending for the package is expensive. Any advice welcomed.

If you want to install the back-ups you created with Ghost, then you have no alternative but to re-install Ghost in order to do so.

Once you have done this, then you can uninstall Ghost and install Acronis for future back-ups.

I have Ghost and Acronis, like you I find Acronis the better of the two.
