Hi there, i have XP Pro. Its when i search for music files mainly. But i have just tried to highlite four files and move them into a new folder but my music crashes. Do you think that the HDD that the files are on is unstable. I have C: for op system > also a second HDD split into D: games drive and E: music files ???

Try SFC /SCANNOW (dont forget the space between c /)Into DOS box,or RUN box.
