Getting rid of browser Opera

  New Doc 17:53 24 Feb 2004

I picked up Opera from the Spring '04 copy - it doesn't do what I want so I want rid of it! I've deleted the program so far as I can see but some remnants remain in thr Registry which I won't touch!
How do I stop it taking over my downloads - I just want to use Explorer as usual.
Current equip - 2.4Ghz pc, 512Mhz Ram on Win XP Home, 60 Gb harddrive.
Anything else required.
Please help me - from now on I refuse to download anything which hasn't been tested on my standby PC.
Many Thanks,

You should have unistalled it from the Add/Remove programs menu.

I would suggest you reinstall Opera and uninstall it correctly via Add/Remove.

Also select remove it via Custom, and keep hitting the select all button. It leaves little to remove manually other than a couple of empty folders.
