Therec are 2 head set boom mikes to make voice recording and a plethora of ways to access them, and although it/they have worked in the past- now that I need another session nothing is happening.
The sound card is the 'on-board AC97 with its built in microphone control to which one headset is connected via the normal ports. In addition I have a USB Silver Crest Vibrator phone/mic which has its own software and driver C-media. The software available is XP's own, Audacity, and DVDPixPlay- all of which will access the sets. All the various control panels show microphone ticked as on There are no 'Yellows' showing in system management But nothing records But sounds otherwise in both medium are fine. I am fair flummoxed.
All is working delivering sounds via any route. AC97 can put up it control panel, and when I plugged in the 'Normal' mic.,put the Control panel up. So I would think the Bios is OK Oh well keep scratching I guess, it is going to be something simple I bet.
The time - but cannot correct it. It seems that Windows can detect the USB headphone and run it without the supplied software. But to run the Mic., it needs the software . That's OK run the disk. Then I get the Microphone-- for a while The the software seems to disappear and has to be reloaded. I have attempted to download any update that may be around - but it seems to be the some item. So any ideas on how to get the software to stick around once in stalled?
