Am protected by McAfee and Spyware Doctor and ultra careful in internet use but seem to have picked up something undesirable. All security updated daily and Windows checked daily and updated when necessary.. Never had a positive from Mcafee before but got " (Trojan), (Trojan), (Trojan)" recorded as detected and quarantined.Reran scan - clear. However, got a positive next scan a day or two later. Beginning to think it is perhaps reinstalling on switching on/reboot? Two obvious questions. First,it seems there are hundreds of variants but get no other details apart from the description above, so what exactly is the damage/risk etc? Havent noticed any symptoms or decrease in performance. Second, what can I do to solve problem? Would be most grateful for someones expert help as somewhat concerned.

Go to C:\Windows and delete the Temp folder. Restart the computer and Windows will create a new empty Temp folder.

PS - when deleting the Temp Folder, you may get a message on the lines of 'xxxx file cannot be deleted' you can ignore that message, it is simply that Windows will not let you delete anything essential to its own operation - this is normal.
