Generic 9ZQU virus found by AVG but won't remove

My free AVG has found Generic 9ZQU virus in PC but ddoesn't seem to remove it or offer any advice as to what I can do about it.

anyone know what it is and is it dangerous? Also how do I get rid of it?

If they have put it in Quarantine. it should be Ok.

No. Its has not put it in quarantine. It seems that it has just been left.

If you have done a full scan using AVG it should have given you the option of deleting or to quarantine it,I would restart the computer and scan again to see if it still picks it up.If so try running one of your spyware programs.See if that picks it out.

Have just run AVG again. Still there.
Its says its a Trojan Horse Generic 9.ZQU. Its found in Win2KXP_300.exe and in LiveUpd.exe.

Trojans are removed better using your Anti-Spyware programs.But you could try this free on line scan from Eset.[nod32]click here see if it picks anything up.

Tried Eset - it came up with 15 items (Error while deleting - operation unavailabe for this type of object) and points me to buy their anti virus software!

Will have to try another anti spyware prog I suppose.
