Gaphics card alleged loss of power.

Win XP Home SP2
NVidea GeForce 6600 GT
Never had this warning before, but it appeared immediately after un-installing IE7 two days ago and has just appeared again.
"NVIDEA System Sentinel is reporting that the NVIDEA powered graphics card is not receiving sufficient power"
Underneath it says in so many words ' In order to protect damage or potential lock up the card has lowered its performance'.
I haven't yet checked connections etc.
Possibly be a PSU problem??
I can see no physical difference on screen.
Is there any way to check PSU output other than manually putting a meter on it.

the cards driver regulates the performance, install latest driver or re-install driver if you already have it.

Will give it a go. When I have tried updating before the result was terrible so rolled back.

Driver update has put my 3D Benchmark result back to normal. Had dropped to 25% of normal.
Hopefully that was the problem.
Very strange that the first time I got the warning was the instant IE7 un-install had finished!
Will resolve and start afresh if necessary.
Thanks for your and Graphicool1's help.
