from my posting about a week ago I have hassled B.T.for broadband for a full week, from speaking (?) to someone in india and finally through to an engineer who tells me I am 5.99 km from my enabled exchange and therefore just outside the range I still cannot get the broadband team to reclassify my line as unable to get broadband.
I am going to ring broadband complaints to try and get them to try again.
the burning question is how many lines does the broadband modem use, as the engineer who fitted my line "stole" two copper cables from an existing line into my house as I have a ten line cable coming in using three lines from this cable.
if the modem uses copper wires in the line how many does it use and if the spares have been "nicked" would that affect it?
