Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pro V2055 Maximum Memory

Can anyone advise me as to the maximum amount of memory, per slot, that a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pro V2055 laptop will take.

I have look at various support & memory sites and have found them saying:
Maximum Memory : 2GB
Total Memory Slots : 2
Memory Type : DDR2 533MHz (PC2-4200) 200-PIN SODIMM

Would that be 2Gb per slot (Maxing out at 4Gb overall) or 1Gb per slot (Maxing out at 2Gb as specified).

Even running some fo the memory scanning software on various memory selling sites gives the same information as well as what is currently fitted.

To quote Spike Milligan, "It's all rather confusing".

Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks,
Daz

Maximum 2GB - ie: 2 x 1GB

It's most likely 2x 1Gb modules with a max of 2Gb in total - from Crucial's site click here.

In other words, '1Gb per slot (Maxing out at 2Gb as specified)'. G

northumbria61 & Crossbow7,
Many thanks for the advice.

Crossbow7: I too had looked at the Crucial site but could only find references to the V2045 & V2060 machines, though even on those pages it does at least say "Each memory slot can hold DDR2 PC2-5300 with a maximum of 1GB per slot.* *Not to exceed manufacturer supported memory." Doesn't seem illogical to assume it's the same for the V2055 model.

northumbria61: Thanks for the link. That's a good price.

"northumbria61: Thanks for the link. That's a good price."

Crucial's price is actually cheaper - £17.61 vs 19.04.

If you want even cheaper, prices start at £11.99 delivered at Play: click here. G

If you'd like to stick to PC5300 spec, then £1 more click here. G
