Webpage below says that the Fujifilm MX1200 Digital Camera can operate directly with Windows XP, (no memory card reader required):click here Whereas webpage below says that this camera is NOT directly compatible with Windows XP:click here Both are fujifilm webpages. Which, I wonder, is correct? Does Fuji know what is is talking about? Be that as it may, at present I can't get it to work.
I never install the Fuji software any longer If you have a suitable card reader. Just remove the card from the camera and read direct in the PC. windows will find it and show as a seperate drive in My Computer.Warning NEVER FORMAT A CAMERA CARD IN A PC.
The MX 1200 is, (in digital camera terms), very old, having only 1.3 Mpixels. It was released in October 1999.click hereYour second link is quite clear; it is not compatible with Win-XP.I doubt Win XP was even thought of when this model came out. The simple answer is to use an inexpensive USB SmartMedia card reader. The cheapest I can find is here:click here
