For a long time I've been using a Fuji S602 Zoom with great results.I now feel that I ought to move up and the Fuji S6500fd has caught my eye.Any views on this camera.Kindest regards Derek Miles in the Uk.

I use the S9000 Same case Good results and the Camera that you want is a good one. limited to XD cards not SD. Check out what size cards it will take. Mine only takes up to 512mb Will take a IBM 1Gb hard drive but cannot get hold of them
Hello to all of you, many thanks for all your advice because it is a great help. Most of us buy the wrong things because we don't ask questions ---true ?And thanks Woodchip, if I do move away from the S602 then I will have a 512mb IBM Microdrive to dispose of.Again thanks to all.And to anyone else, I'm still asking for input.
Sorry I got mine wrong, I should have sais it's a S7000
There are not many cameras in this range to choose from. The choice beingFuji S6500fd or S9100, not sure if the extra mp on the S9100 are worth the extra moneyOlympus SP-550UZPanasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ8 My choice would be the Panasonic Lumix, with it's Leica DC Vario-Elmarit 36-432mm f6.0-72mm (12x optical zoom) This camera also uses the much better SD flashcards. However if you value the extra 8mm of the wide angle on the Fuji, then this would be the one to go for.One of the best sites for reviews is click here well worth a visit before splashing out. However it's always better to go into a shop and handle the various models.
Thanks Hs I'll follow your good advice and I've taken careful note of your comments. Many thanks.
