I've not long sold my computer but bought a new Compaq Windows 7 laptop until I can afford a new decent pc. I used to have FS2004 on my old PC and used it most days, is there anyway I could install it on the laptop and use it on there? I don't expect the graphics to be great but should I be worried about overheating or running slow? Some details below, can't find any info on the memeory or model of my graphics card.
I ran both FS2004 and FSx on my laptop for some time without any real problems. It was an Evesham machine and, as far as I remember, it had an Intel Core 2 Duo chip running at about 2.0 GHz, 2GB ram and a Nvidia 8600M graphics chip with a 17" screen.
With the global graphics set to medium I don't remember any real problems at all.
Have you been into FS9 settings. Not sure if it is the hardware tab you want, but find the tab that opens the screen resolution choice. Make a note which one is highlighted before you change anything. Would think you want to increase it a bit.
Hardware tab in FS says 800x600. When I searched on google it said my laptop's resolution is currentley 1366x768. I have a list of resolution's in fs 2004 to choose from and most are either the same size or smaller.
Which resolution do I choose to fill the screen when playing on fs?
