I bought a new pc a month back. I gave my old one AMD 900 to my son. I reformatted hard drive reloaded windows xp home and added a wireless network card. The pc worked okay for a couple of days, then it stuck at safe mode option screen. tried various things, then reformatted again and so the saga goes on. There is little software on it, he just uses it for internet, msn. it was causing probs before I gave him it hence reformat. It goes for a short time then starts reporting windows errors , takes more and more reboots to get it going and then the blue screen of death.

I feel it can't be a windows problem, any other suggstions before I hit it with a hammer.

Are there any yellows in Device Manager? It sounds like a device needs reinstalling, like graphics card.

Lots of internet cache files filling HDD? This will cause crashes if temp internet files not deleted on a regular basis. Use Crap Cleaner click here to clear.
